THIS YEAR IS GIRLGUIDING IS 100 YEARS OLD!

JANUARY
The first two weeks meeting were cancelled due to snow!
Ideas Night - We thought of things we might like to do
& played games.Some of us worked on our
Adventure badges.
Campfire Challenge - We made indoor campfires, sang campfire
Night songs & toasted marshmallows over tea
lights, we played campfire games.
WELCOME TO OUR NEW OWL !!
We chose Kathryn's owl name - Elf Owl!
FEBRUARY
Catch up Night - We designed our own badges, sang some
more songs.We voted on our Adventure
100 activities and worked on adventure On
badges.
Chinese New Year - We made red envelopes and wrote our
names in chinese on them,the owls put
chocolate coins in.We played chinese games
& had fortune cookies.
WELL DONE TO THE BROWNIES WHO EARNED THEIR
ADVENTURE & ADVENTURE ON BADGES !
Pantomime Night - We had a great time at the panto,and earned
points for our adventure 100 badge.
Thinking Day Event - Along with other brownie,rainbows & guides
from Burnley division we tried all sorts of crafts
& activities from around the world,and earned
more points for our adventure 100 badge!
March
Promise Activity Night - We made promise sticks & played games to help us remember our promise.
Badge & Craft Night - We made keyrings for our mums & grans for
mothers day & tried a flavoured water quiz
for our Adventure 100 badge.
St Patricks Night - We made pots o' gold swaps & played some
games to celebrate the patron Saint of Ireland
Badge Night - We showed what we thought brownies would
be like in the future for our Adventure 100 badge
Easter Craft Night - We made easter boxes,decorated them &
put chocolate mini easter eggs in

April
Games Night - We played lots of games including'on the bus'
Climbing Wall Night - We went to a climbing wall for our Adventure
100 badge.It was really good and everyone did
very well & tried their best. Quite a few girls
climbed to the very top!!
May
Badge Night - We made the 100 shape on the floor & then
made collages in our sixes for Adventure 100
badge.
WELL DONE ANYA,JODIE ,KATHERINE, HOLLIE & LUCY T FOR EARNING THEIR INTEREST BADGES!
Dance Night - We learnt how to line dance and some of the
brownies showed us dances they knew, it was
great fun and earned more points for the
Adventure 100 badge!
Craft Night - We made cards for the injured troops and in
hospital to try and cheer them up, lots of
lovely cards.
Badge Night - We made dreamcatchers & helped some of
brownies catch up on points for Adventure
100 badge!

World Cup Night - We played a game with World cup countries
flags, we picked a country from our groups &
made flags for next week.
CONGRATULATIONS TO KATHERINE,ANYA & LAUREN ON THEIR BADGE DESIGNS! Katherine's design has been made into our units own Centenary Celebration badge with thanks to :

World Cup Night - We had our own football tournament, each six
was a country and we all played against each
other.The spectators were very noisy but a
great support to our teams and no players
were stretchered off!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS & WELL DONE TO EVERYONE!
World Cup Night - We all brought food in from our countries &
everyone had a taste.LOTS of lovely food!
Thank you to all the parents etc for cooking!!

Adventure 100 Night -We went for a walk to the woods & had a
scavenger hunt earning points for our badge
Party Night - End of term Pajama/Disco party
