New Term Night -         Aim High 'Smile' game.

Games Night -           On the Bus,Fruit Bowl,Ladders and a new
                               game

World Guiding -         We made a friendship circle of brownies
badge Night              from U.K,U.S.A,New Zealand,Australia,
                               Bahamas and South Africa.
                               We made 'smores' ,from U.S.A -                               2 Chocolate digestive biscuits with a   
                               marshmallow in the middle and melted
                               in microwave .... mmm !
World Guiding
badge Night   -           We made thinking day cards for
                                1st Alexandra Park brownies - take a look

      WELL DONE TO EVERYONE !!! some lovely cards
Valentines Craft -        Foam heart magnets. We had time 
                                to try some new games - who knows

Mothers Day Craft -    We made a special bath mix for our mums
                               who love chocolate,filled and decorated
                               jars as a mothers day present.
           well done to all the mums who tried it!!

 Adventure Night -     We worked on our adventure badge and    
                                     had an Ugly Bug adventure.
 
Easter Craft -            We made jelly bean easter chicks and
                               played a game with a new 'smelly' twist!

Changing the World-   For the last few weeks we have been

 So Near yet so Far-   If the face fits Game,we looked at pictures
   Activity                 and tried to guess what the people were!
                              It was quite hard as only a few looked like
                                    we thought they should.

 Jelly Baby Evening -  Activities and games about Jelly Babies
                               AND we got eat them afterwards!
 June
 
 Promise Activity -     We helped our new brownies to learn
                               their promise by playing a game and then  
                               we talked about what the promise meant. 
                               We also played parachute games outside.
Armpit Fudge Night-   We made fudge by putting ingredients into 
                               a 'zippy' food bag,sealing it and mushing 
                               them together under our arms! Nearly
                               everyone loved the fudge when we ate it.
 Hospice Night   -      Kaye Bartle from Pendleside Hospice came 
                              to our meeting and we presented her with
                              the money we raised for the hospice.
                              Kaye also presented us with our badges.
Newspaper Evening-  Activities with newspapers, we made a
                              brownie uniform, had a relay race and
                              had a 'snowball fight' well done to Pixies
                              and Imps for winning. We all went home
Activity Night -         Games,promise practice.Guide talk and
                              Adventure On badge work.
      WELL DONE TO THE BROWNIES THAT EARNED THEIR
                       ADVENTURE ON BADGE !  
End of term Trip -     Ten pin bowling at AMF Burnley.We all had
                              a great time!
Craft Night-              Juggling balls made from rice and balloons 
                              - messy but fun

            In 2010 Girlguiding UK will be 100 years old!
 A day of activities and parties was held on 5th September 2009 to launch a year long celebration ending in October 2010
 We will be doing lots of crafts,games and activities to join in the celebrations over the coming year.Make sure you take a look at our centenary page!

 Welcome Night -   First night back after summer holidays, we   
                           made pencil cases & suggested actvities.

 Pow wow Night-          We decided on our next Adventure 100
                                activity & played balloon volleyball

  Harvest Night -       We made bramble jam tarts & Jackie came

  Craft Night -              We made fleecy hats in blue and red.

 Bonfire Night-            We made edible sparklers with finger
                                 biscuits & hundreds and thousands and
                                 edible bonfires with matchmakers &   
                                  strawberry laces & biscuits.
 
 Remberance Craft-       We made poppy bookmarks from foam

 Craft Night  -              We made christmas crackers for each  
                                 other,a christmas card for our penpals
                                 & a decoration for the christmas tree at
                                 St.Peters church.
